Southwest Gas Donates a Car to Local Non-Profit
Victorville, Calif. - Recently, Southwest Gas donated a 2002 Chevrolet Trailblazer, a well-maintained vehicle retired from its fleet to the non-profit agency A Better Way, which operates in Victorville. The organization provides shelter, food, clothing, counseling and job training for families who are victims of domestic abuse.
"We are very grateful to Southwest Gas for this generous gift," said Margaret Diaz, executive director of A Better Way. "The car will certainly go a long way in helping us carry out our mission more effectively, and we appreciate the gesture of support from Southwest Gas."
Southwest Gas and its employees are committed to improving the quality of life in the communities it serves through a far-reaching program of "giving" and "doing."
"We're delighted to make this donation to A Better Way. The vehicle will be used to transport the agency's clients to job interviews in order to find gainful employment and hopefully a new outlook on life," said Luis Frisby, vice president/Southern California Division.
Southwest Gas provides natural gas service to more than 1.8 million customers in Arizona, California and Nevada, with service territories centered in some of the fastest-growing regions of the country.
