South Lake Tahoe, NV − To facilitate an upcoming $57 million Caltrans project, Southwest Gas will be required to conduct gas-line relocation work on Highway 50 (Lake Tahoe Boulevard) from the "Y" intersection with State Highway 89 to Al Tahoe Boulevard in early June.
The work is expected to be completed in October 2015. Following the gas line relocation, Caltrans crews will begin its project to rebuild that stretch of highway with curb, gutter, sidewalks and new drainage systems.
Traffic control will be in place near the construction activity to shift traffic away from the work zone; however, access to residences and businesses will be maintained. Please pardon our activities in your area.
The majority of the construction work will be completed during daytime hours, however intermittent night work between the hours 7 p.m. - 5 a.m. will be performed to help minimize traffic congestion in the area. No service interruptions are anticipated. For additional information contact our project hotline,
