Southwest Gas Breaks Ground on New Sierra Vista Operations Center
(Sierra Vista)- Construction crews have broken ground on a new Southwest Gas Operations Center, which will serve the company’s natural gas customers in the Sierra Vista area and surrounding communities. The company has been in its current location on Wilcox Drive since 1971 and has outgrown that facility.
As a part of Southwest’s commitment to environmental stewardship, the new facility will incorporate many sustainable features, such as energy efficient technologies, solar panels, and water harvesting. The new 12,000 square foot center will be located at 4411 Industry Drive in Sierra Vista and construction is expected to be complete this fall.
The Operations Center will house more than 30 Southwest Gas employees and will function as the area’s main service hub, providing service to approximately 23,000 customers in the southeast portion of Arizona.
Southwest Gas provides natural gas service to more than 1.9 million customers in Arizona, California and Nevada.
