Clean-burning natural gas fireplaces are an environmentally-friendly alternative to wood-burning fireplaces that emit much higher amounts of greenhouse gases and particulate matter. While some natural gas fireplaces are designed for ambiance and provide radiant heat, fireplace inserts improve efficiency by blowing heat into the room with efficiency ratings as high as 70%.
