In order to be eligible for a rebate under the Arizona or Nevada Solar Water Heating Program, systems must be installed by Program Qualified Contractors.  Program Qualified Contractors are expected to:

• Accurately inform customers of program eligibility requirements
• Facilitate the customer application process
• Collaborate on system requirements for installations selected for additional measurement and verification

To apply to become a Program Qualified Contractor:

• Submit a Contractor Application
• Provide a copy of the appropriate license issued by the State Contractors' Board pursuant to regulations adopted by the Board
• Provide proof of valid workers' compensation insurance if the contractor is required by law to carry such insurance, commercial general liability insurance and business auto insurance
• Provide documentation of all warranties that will apply to solar thermal systems installed by the contractor
• Successfully complete a one-day training workshop provided by Southwest Gas
• Satisfy any additional requirements to install solar thermal systems for Southwest Gas customers set forth in the annual plan of the utility filed
