In order to be eligible for a rebate under the Arizona or Nevada Solar Water Heating Program, systems must be installed by Program Qualified Contractors. Program Qualified Contractors are expected to:

Accurately inform customers of program eligibility requirements

Facilitate the customer application process

Collaborate on system requirements for installations selected for additional measurement and verification
To apply to become a Program Qualified Contractor:

Submit a Contractor Application

Provide a copy of the appropriate license issued by the State Contractors' Board pursuant to regulations adopted by the Board

Provide proof of valid workers' compensation insurance if the contractor is required by law to carry such insurance, commercial general liability insurance and business auto insurance

Provide documentation of all warranties that will apply to solar thermal systems installed by the contractor

Successfully complete a one-day training workshop provided by Southwest Gas
-
Satisfy any additional requirements to install solar thermal systems for Southwest Gas customers set forth in the annual plan of the utility filed
